Icon is made with the typical Byzantine style, established for
centuries in Christian Orthodox tradition of angiography; the color is
avgotempera - a mix of powder color and egg yolk - on wood surfaced
with gold leaf. This technique is continued nowadays by several
angiographists of Greece and Mount Athos
Icon is handmade by angiographist Konstantia Karamanou who lives in
Thessaloniki, Greece.

Η εικόνα είναι ζωγραφισμένη με την κλασσική τεχνοτροπία,
εγκαθιδρυμένη από τα Βυζαντινά χρόνια. Το χρώμα είναι αβγοτέμπερα -
μίξη κονιομένου χρώματος με κρόκο αυγού - σε ξύλο με φύλλο χρυσού. Η
τεχνική αυτή συνεχίζει να εφαρμόζεται μεχρι σήμερα από κάποιους
σύγχρονους αγιογράφους της Ελληνικής επικράτειας και του Αγίου Όρους.
Η εικόνα είναι χειροποίητο έργο της κυρίας Κωνσταντίας Καραμάνου που
κατοικεί στη Θεσσαλονίκη.
