One of HPR's immediate goals is to establish a national radio network. The vision is to broadcast to as many Hellenic Americans and Philhellenes as possible throughout North America. HPR is especially concerned with reaching those who are geographically isolated-those traditionally underserved by the commercial Hellenic-American media. Establishing an HPR national radio network is feasible, though costly. It requires broadcasting our programs nationally via satellite technology, and then collaborating with radio stations around the country that will pick up our data signal and broadcast it to their local areas.

Quality Programming Hellenic Public Radio - COSMOS FM is the only daily non-commercial Greek radio program in the New York Metropolitan area. HPR has 5,000 supporting members and reaches approximately 200,000 Hellenic and non-Hellenic listeners each week. COSMOS FM provides 13 hours of programming per week, for a total of 676 annual hours of broadcast. COSMOS FM features 24 different programs in Greek and English, including national and international news, news from Greece and Cyprus, and programs on politics, science, social issues, religion, health, finance, music and the arts, sports and community affairs.
